Adult Palliative Care

This service is for families living in Liverpool caring for an adult living with cancer or other terminal illness (funded by Liverpool PCTs). We can help as follows:

1. By supporting families who are caring for an adult.
2. We have a fully trained team of Carer Support Workers enabling the provision of a high quality service of care. Ongoing training is provided in specific care as appropriate to meet the Carers needs.
3. Support can be given to the whole family, including siblings and young carers who often play a role in the care and are obviously affected by having a parent or relative who has care needs.
4. To give the family time to be themselves and to help them to focus on the family as a whole.
5. Carers can have an improved quality of life as the stresses and strains of the caring role are relieved for short periods every week.
