Crossroads - Caring for Carers

Our Services

Adult Carers

Adult Carers are people who care for somebody over the age of 18 years old.
Crossroads Caring for Carers allow Carers to have a break and ‘have time to be themselves’.

Support is given to lots of different people for lots of reasons. It includes:

  • Help with personal care/hygiene.
  • Help to prepare meals/feeding
  • Help with everyday tasks
  • Help with accessing local community activities.
  • Help with medications

We support adults with various conditions such as:

  • Learning Disabilities
  • Aspergers
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Palliative Care
  • Stroke Recovery

An Assessment is carried out before the support program starts. This is normally carried out by a Care Manager or Care Supervisor.

An assessment is a picture of what support is needed and how to carry it out. Any specialised training needs are identified during the assessment. The carer support workers will then be introduced, and support can then begin.

All Carers are entitled to an individual Assessment in their own right. For further local information to meet your needs visit the following:
