About Us

Crossroads Caring for Carers - our commitment to quality…

Liverpool Crossroads Caring for Caring is committed to providing care and support that will exceed the expectations of its clients, develop and train its staff in the provision of such services, grow the company by expanding the provision of care needs to an ever increasing number of families, and meet all the requirements of funders, providers and statutory bodies.

Crossroads Caring for Carers - our approach to quality…

The Crossroads team prides itself on its dedication and commitment to quality, delivering nationally-recognised standards of carer support services, and ensuring that the Carer is at the heart of all our activities.

Our staff are all trained in relevant skills, over and above the skills for care minimum standards (minimum of NVQ Level II). They work closely with partners and other providers and make sure that all client and staff are treated with respect and care.

In all our dealings with Carers, people with care needs, our employees and our volunteers, we promise that we will:-

  • treat every person with dignity and respect
  • help each individual to exercise freedom of choice and maintain their independence
  • be flexible in the meeting individual needs
  • fully involve and consult everyone involved
  • respect each individual’s privacy and personal choice is respect of their lifestyle, customs, culture, values and spiritual beliefs
  • promote equal opportunity regardless of race, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, age, ethnic origin, disability or religion
  • work in partnership with other organisations to promote the interests of Carers and develop new services.

Standards…

CSCI Commission for Social Care Inspection (Formerly the National Care Standards Commission)

This commission was created by the Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards) Act 2003 and was relaunched with the new title in April 2004. It is the single independent inspectorate for social care in England and covers the work formerly done by the National Care Standards Commission. It now brings together the inspection, regulation and review of all social care services into one organisation.

Liverpool Crossroads Caring for Carers achieved all the registration requirements of the Commission in 2003 and was awarded its Certificate of Registration in October 2003.

Crossroads Quality System

The Crossroads Quality Evaluation Tool (CROQUET) was developed from the PQASSO Quality System established for small charitable organisations in the UK. Liverpool Crossroads has achieved level 2 of CROQUET (equivalent to that required by the Commission for Social Care Inspection) and is now on course to achieve the Level 3 during 2006.
